Don't die in silence -part 2

When Strength Looks Like Silence… Everyone Suffers

A Woman’s Perspective: It’s Time for Men to Take Their Place Again

In my previous blog, I wrote about the silent pandemic affecting men. The overwhelming response confirmed what many of us already knew our fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons are carrying burdens they were never taught to express.

Many readers reached out. Men shared stories of pain, loneliness, financial pressure, depression, and the weight of trying to hold everything together. My heart broke reading their messages.

But something else happened.

Women began to speak.

Not with criticism.
Not with hatred.
But with heartbreak.

Many women said:“We want to help. We really do. But sometimes the very men we’re trying to help push us away.”

That stopped me in my tracks.

We Love Our Men…

Before anything else, let me say this.

This is not an attack on men.

We love you.We appreciate the sacrifices you make the family this does not go unnoticed,Perhaps we don't say it enough but we appreciate and see all the efforts. So thank you .We see the pressure society places on your shoulders. We know many of you are fighting battles you’ve never spoken about.

But love also tells the truth.

And the truth is…

Many women are exhausted. Not because we don’t want to support you.

But because we’ve been carrying responsibilities we were never meant to carry alone.

We Want to Help But We Can’t Carry You while carrying all the other responsibilities of chores ,kids wifely duties and taking care of ourselves  too .

A healthy woman doesn’t mind helping her husband.

She doesn’t mind encouraging him when life gets difficult. lnfact, when  a woman feels loved and protected she will do anything to support and show love to the man she loves .

She’ll stand beside him when the business fails.

She’ll pray with him through uncertainty.

She’ll hold his hand through the storm.

But somewhere along the way, many relationships have shifted.

Women are now expected to carry the financial burden…

the emotional burden…

the spiritual burden…

the responsibility of raising the children…

while also carrying a man who refuses to deal with his own pain.

That isn’t partnership.

That’s survival.

Vulnerability Is Not Weakness

Many men believe speaking up makes them weak.

It doesn’t.

It makes you human.

The strongest words a man can ever say are:

“I’m struggling.”

“I need help.”

“I’m not okay.”

Those words don’t diminish your strength.

They protect your future.

They protect your marriage.

They protect your children.

They may even save your life.

But There’s Another Side…

Some women shared something difficult.

They said…

“When we try to encourage him… he becomes defensive.”

“When we suggest getting help… he gets angry.”

“When we become successful because someone has to keep the family afloat… he feels threatened instead of supported.”

That pain is real too.

Sometimes a woman’s strength becomes a reminder of a man’s wounds.

Instead of healing together…

competition begins.

Instead of partnership…

resentment grows.

Instead of leadership…

control replaces love.

Submission Was Never Meant to Be Silent Suffering

Many women have remained quiet.

Not because everything is okay.

But because they believe silence is what a good wife does.

They’ve stayed in emotionally draining marriages…

hidden their tears…

protected their husband’s reputation…

and slowly disappeared inside themselves.

Women are dying in silence too.

Not physically alone…

but emotionally.

Spiritually.

Mentally.

Submission was never designed to destroy a woman’s identity.

Marriage was never designed to leave one person carrying all the weight.

Marriage Was Always Meant to Be Two People Carrying One Vision

A successful marriage isn’t built by one strong person.

It’s built by two healthy people choosing each other every day.

The husband leads with humility.

The wife supports with wisdom.

Both communicate honestly.

Both forgive.

Both sacrifice.

Both grow.

Neither competes.

Neither dominates.

Neither suffers alone.

Men… We Need You

Daddy Nation exists because families matter.

Strong fathers build strong homes

Strong homes build strong communities.

Strong communities build strong nations.

So this is our appeal.

Men…

Speak.

Cry if you need to.

Ask for help.

Heal.

Pray.

Get counselling.

Find accountability.

But don’t disappear while your family waits for you to come back emotionally.

We don’t need perfect men.

We need present men.

Ladies… Let’s Keep Creating Safe Spaces

As women, we also have a responsibility.

Let’s create homes where vulnerability is welcomed, not mocked.

Where healing is celebrated.

Where a man’s tears aren’t used against him later.

Where respect and accountability walk hand in hand.

Healing happens when both people feel safe enough to tell the truth.

Final Thoughts

This conversation isn’t about choosing sides.

It’s about choosing families.

It’s about choosing healing over pride.

Communication over silence.

Partnership over competition.

Because a marriage cannot survive if only one person is carrying the weight.

To every man reading this…

We believe in you.

To every woman reading this…

We see your strength.

And to every family…

Let’s stop dying in silence.

Let’s heal together.
